Dr. Jinjuta Rattanabury
"We have all the essential standard equipment for dental care, including tools for scaling, filling, extraction, periodontal treatment, and root canal therapy. Importantly, we prioritize sterilization; all dental instruments are sterilized and cleaned to the same level as those used by surgeons in operating rooms."
Dr. Jin Jutha Rattanaburi graduated with a second-class honors degree in Dentistry from the Faculty of Dentistry, Thammasat University. Currently, she is a general dentist in the Dental Department at Phyathai Sriracha Hospital. Dr. Jin Jutha shared her inspiration and experience during her studies:
“When I was a child, my mother wanted me to become a doctor. However, nearing the end of high school, I felt that being a physician was not suitable for me. Additionally, I had an interest in art. So, I searched for a middle ground and found that dentistry was a good fit because it combined both medical science and artistic elements. Dental treatment requires the integration of medical knowledge and artistic skills to achieve both functional and aesthetic results.”
Comprehensive Dental Care for All Basic Problems
At the Dental Department, Dr. Jin Jutha provides comprehensive care for all dental issues, including fillings, scaling, extractions, wisdom tooth removal, root canal treatments, prosthetics, and uncomplicated gum diseases.
“My patients generally do not have severe or complex problems because I am still a general dentist. If I encounter a patient with a complicated or severe issue, I refer them to a specialist who can provide targeted care. Our hospital has specialists in all dental fields.”
Gentle and Attentive Care in Every Treatment Step
Despite the noise from various dental instruments during treatments, which often causes anxiety for patients, Dr. Jin Jutha alleviates their concerns by explaining that, although the equipment may be loud, it will not cause pain.
“Most patients say that I have a gentle touch. In treatment, I usually start with simple procedures and gradually move to more complex ones. This allows patients to adjust and become accustomed to the instruments. In urgent cases, I address the immediate problem first and schedule follow-up appointments for additional treatments based on the patient’s readiness and the condition’s severity. If the patient is ready and immediate treatment is necessary, I will complete it in a single visit.”
The Essence of Being a Good Dentist
Besides providing excellent treatment, Dr. Jin Jutha emphasizes the importance of communication with patients. She listens to understand their true needs and focuses on patient-centered care without imposing her own preferences.
“Patients come to us with specific issues, but during examinations, we may discover additional problems. I explain to them what I’ve found, but immediate treatment may not be necessary. We must first understand if the patient is ready for treatment, considering factors like time and travel constraints. Some treatments require frequent visits. Effective communication ensures we address the problems the patient is most concerned about. I believe that all doctors aim to heal their patients with integrity and without discrimination.”
A Smile is the Reward
The ultimate reward in every case is seeing the patient’s health restored and their confidence in their smile. Often, patients lack confidence in their dental aesthetics and oral health before treatment.
“Seeing a patient smile happily after treatment is a small but significant motivation that brings joy to my work each day. When patients are pleased with the results, it makes me proud of the knowledge and skills I have applied meaningfully.”
