Dr. Juthatip Sinyodyiem: An Inspiring Journey in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Juthatip Sinyodyiem graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Srinakharinwirot University. She then pursued a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rajavithi Hospital.
Additionally, she furthered her studies in prenatal screening and fetal heart examination at Showa University Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. This training focused specifically on fetal scanning and ultrasound techniques.
In the field of gynecology, Dr. Juthatip obtained a certificate in laparoscopic surgery from Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. She shared her inspiration and experiences, saying:
“I have always felt a special affinity for performing procedures. Working in the operating room brings me great joy. Before I specialized in this field, I imagined that it would be filled with happiness due to the birth of babies and a joyful atmosphere. However, upon diving deeper into my studies, I discovered that it encompasses both obstetrics and gynecology, involving a significant amount of medical conditions. As I started working, I realized I had a particular interest in gynecology. It is exciting and challenging, and my passion for surgery makes me feel competent and happy in this role.”
Currently, Dr. Juthatip is an obstetrician-gynecologist in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Phyathai Sriracha Hospital. In obstetrics, she provides comprehensive care, including prenatal check-ups, pregnancy monitoring, and delivery. Her practice involves standard care procedures, starting with an ultrasound to assess fetal health. As a specialist in fetal ultrasound, she monitors the baby’s growth and detects abnormalities at appropriate intervals.
In gynecology, she cares for general female patients and those requiring endoscopic examination or treatment.
“In recent years, I have primarily used endoscopic techniques in my treatments. Most patients are very happy and satisfied with the results. Some patients who were initially afraid of surgery find that they feel no pain post-operation, and the symptoms of their condition disappear, allowing them to enjoy a better quality of life. This brings joy not only to the patients but also to me as a doctor.
The majority of the conditions I treat include uterine fibroids, cysts, and ovarian cysts. Endoscopic surgery is a highly effective option that provides better outcomes, less pain, minimal scarring, and quicker recovery, reducing hospital stays.”
Language Skills and Educational Experience Leading to Effective Patient Care
Phyathai Sriracha Hospital is located in an industrial area, resulting in a significant number of Japanese patients seeking Dr. Juthatip’s care. She can communicate with them in Japanese.
“I have many Japanese patients in both obstetrics and gynecology. They appreciate being able to communicate with me directly without a translator. My ability to speak Japanese stems from my studies in Japan, where I focused on ultrasound techniques. The technology used there is more advanced, involving extensive research and detailed fetal assessments. This experience was invaluable, providing both knowledge and friendships that I continue to apply in my practice today.”
